Deep Reality is an innovative start-up founded in 2023, born from its founders’ passion for extended reality and made possible by their involvement in a European research project. Since its early days, the company has focused on the potential of virtual reality in education, supported by artificial intelligence solutions. The immersive—especially visual—nature of VR helps capture attention, boost motivation, and reinforce both memory and information recall. Over time, this focus has expanded into other fields, including digital communication, immersive training in industrial settings, safety applications, and neurological rehabilitation.

Aiming to make XR a genuinely accessible tool for learning and training, Deep Reality works to remove the technical barriers and skills gaps that often stand in the way of its adoption. The company turns the technology’s immersive potential into practical, ready-to-implement solutions that fit seamlessly into educational and professional settings, while also extending its applications to marketing and digital communication.

Out of this vision came Insideep, Deep Reality’s proprietary platform designed to make the creation and management of immersive experiences straightforward, intuitive, and adaptable to a wide range of contexts. Built around 360° photography, the platform offers a cost-effective and easy-to-use alternative to fully developed 3D environments, without requiring any programming skills. Users can create immersive tours by simply uploading panoramic scenes and related materials, then enriching them with multimedia elements—such as text, images, audio, and video—through an easy-to-use interface. This approach allows structured informational and educational content to be seamlessly integrated into each experience.

Recognising the rapid evolution of immersive technologies, Deep Reality continuously invests in research and innovation, taking part in nationally and European-funded projects. In the healthcare field, initiatives such as XRehab (Horizon Europe – Grant Agreement No. 101070192) and AIlay4Care (PR MARCHE ERDF 2021–2027) use virtual reality to support rehabilitation of patients with neurodegenerative diseases. These projects develop immersive experiences designed to stimulate emotional, motor, and cognitive functions, supporting and enhancing the therapeutic pathway.

At the same time, through the XR2Learn project (Horizon Europe – Grant Agreement No. 101093159), virtual reality has been applied to a wide range of educational settings, from corporate onboarding to training in smart agriculture and IoT-based systems. The integration of artificial intelligence—further advanced within the Insideep Evolution project (PR MARCHE ERDF 2021–2027)—is designed to make the creation and management of immersive environments even more intuitive, enhancing the platform’s capabilities and overall performance.

Deep Reality has also explored the use of immersive technologies and advanced streaming solutions in the cultural and performing arts sector. In collaboration with the Rossini Opera Festival, within the framework of the CTE – Casa delle Tecnologie Emergenti initiative, the company developed innovative live-streamed performances and “concerts from the balcony,” aimed at expanding accessibility and enhancing the digital experience of artistic events.

Through the development of accessible solutions, active participation in European research projects, and a continuous focus on innovation, Deep Reality promotes the practical adoption of immersive technologies across education, healthcare, and digital transformation. The company positions itself as a bridge between research, experimentation, and the real-world application of XR.
